By Car:
Driving south on I-880 from Oakland, exit at the 23rd / 29th Avenue exit. When you get off the freeway, you will be on Kennedy Street.  Stay on Kennedy Street through the stop light; then it curves to the left, then it curves to the right and you'll be suddenly on the Park Street bridge going onto the island of Alameda!  Turn right at the second stop light, that is Clement. Go through the stop sign (Oak) and then about a mile down until you see Alameda Marina on your right.  Look for Gate 7 of the Marina on your right opposite Schiller Street.  Turn into that gate.  Follow the "Island Yacht Club" signs, and you are here!

By Sea:
Enter the Oakland Estuary between Alameda and Oakland, marked on chart 18649 as "INNER HARBOR ENTRANCE CHANNEL", then "INNER HARBOR REACH", then "GROVE ST. PIER TO BROOKLYN BASIN", then "SOUTH CHANNEL".  This run is approximately 4 NM. from the marker FL G 5s 30 ft., 13M "5" horn at the channel entrance.  Alameda Marina will be to your Starboard side after the Grand Street boat launch ramp.  The marina office is open 7 days a week and they do not monitor any VHF frequencies.  Their phone number is 510-521-1133.  There are no bridges, but other hazards include barge and ferry traffic, large ships and dredges, jet skis, race buoys and sometimes floating debris.
