Island Yacht Club was founded in 1970 by a group of sailboat racers who wanted to offer the best possible value in a yacht club.  Located in the Alameda Marina on the sunny and calm Oakland / Alameda Estuary, IYC is ideally located for a quick day sail or a warm downwind sail home after a day's thrashing on San Francisco Bay.

IYC is an all volunteer non-profit Yacht Club open to any and all interested in sail or power. Club members enjoy a large Clubhouse with all the amenities and great views of the Alameda/Oakland estuary. IYC is for boaters who seek camaraderie and fellowship without pretense.
